An old fisherman plays a beautiful song in the calm waters of a solitary lake, when suddenly a mysterious creature takes the bait… 

 
 

What is it?

Song of the Lake (La Canción del Lago) is an animated stop motion short film based on the graphic novel of the same name, winner of the Secuenciarte Award at Pixelatl Festival 2019.

It is a fantastic story about the complexity of life and the hard decisions that we have to make to protect our loved ones, where the main characters are an old fisherman and a young mermaid.
